Sir David Attenborough Presents the ‘Our Story’ Adventure at the Natural History Museum in London
London’s Natural History Museum has recently unveiled an immersive experience featuring the iconic Sir David Attenborough. Entitled *Our Story with David Attenborough*, this 50-minute presentation animates the walls and floor of the Jerwood Gallery. It brims with 360 degrees of animations, projections, and actual footage, all narrated by Attenborough and set to a score by Tony Award and Olivier Award-nominated composer Nick Powell.
This remarkable exhibition guides visitors along a narrative journey. “In this new immersive experience at the Natural History Museum, we delve into two narratives,” Attenborough clarifies, “the 4-billion-year saga of the Earth, and our own, comparatively brief chapter, the narrative of humankind. These two narratives are not, at this moment, synchronized—but they could be. My aspiration is that anyone attending the *Our Story* experience will come to realize how crucial humanity is in scripting the planet’s forthcoming chapter.”
*Our Story with David Attenborough* represents the Natural History Museum’s inaugural immersive experience, developed in partnership with Open Planet Studios. During the visit, attendees witness the rise of Homo sapiens, connect with gorillas (our nearest relatives), and learn about our influence—including our recent initiatives to safeguard—the magnificent whales of the seas.
The experience provides a breathtaking view of the Earth and a sobering reflection on humanity’s environmental footprint. The Natural History Museum aims for it to spark greater advocacy for the planet’s wellbeing. When we immerse ourselves in what is at stake, it encourages us to navigate the world differently in a manner that aligns with a more sustainable future.
Tickets for *Our Story with David Attenborough* are available until January 18, 2026. Check the [Natural History Museum’s website](https://www.nhm.ac.uk/) to book one.
