Pullman Yards Introduces New Residency Program for Film, Visual Arts, and New Media
Pullman Yards, the historic 27-acre site in Atlanta’s Kirkwood neighborhood, has announced a new residency program aimed at supporting artists in film, visual arts, and new media. This initiative enhances Pullman Yards’ role as a creative hub, driven by co-founders Adam Rosenfelt and Maureen Meulen, who are veterans of the film industry.
“Atlanta has an incredible history of being a creative hub,” noted Meulen and Rosenfelt. The site will host one regional and one visiting artist for six to ten weeks, with four artists selected annually in two seasonal cohorts. Residents will receive private housing, studio space, a $500 weekly stipend, and transportation support, along with professional development opportunities, culminating in an open studio day to showcase their work.
This program expands Pullman’s creative offerings, alongside its culinary incubator and site-specific mural series, Pieces of Pullman. The initiative celebrates Pullman’s storied past as a 1904 manufacturing facility, a civil rights landmark, and a location for major productions like The Hunger Games and Baby Driver.
A jury of cultural leaders, including individuals like Art Paper’s Sarah Higgins and filmmaker Craig Zobel, will review the applications. The deadline to apply is July 31, 2025, with selected artists announced in September. To learn more, visit pullmanyards.com.
