The elongated design mirrors the vineyard’s furrows, directing visitors through the wine-making journey. A striking circular staircase ascends to the main floor, where barrels are atmospherically positioned in a dim, earthy ambiance referred to as an “isolated sanctuary” by the architects, accompanied by the soothing sound of gravel beneath their feet.

In juxtaposition to the meditative underground space is the outdoor circular plaza, which re-establishes the connection with the verdant vineyard vista, embodying the cyclic essence of winemaking. The area is equipped with tables and a reflective pool, introducing a lively contrast against the vineyard’s uninterrupted lines. Fotis Zapantiotis describes this circular plaza as a “geometric cut” that alters the continuity of the landscape, serving as the architectural centerpiece.
