Award-Winning Images from the 2025 Prix de la Photographie Paris Competition
The Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3) has revealed the victors of its 2025 competition, with London-based photographer Peter Muller clinching the top honor in the professional category. His captivating series, “Adaptive Boxers,” immerses us in the realm of wheelchair boxing, being both technically proficient and emotionally stirring.
Non-Professional Photographer of the Year Alena Solomonova presents a different facet of photography with her award-winning image. Her eloquent project “Wilting” harnesses the potency of still imagery to explore the beauty inherent in the passage of time. Themes of aging, delicacy, and change are manifested through her use of dried flowers and plants, resulting in striking photographs.
“PX3 is committed to enhancing the appreciation of photography and providing a platform for voices that inspire, provoke thought, and touch our hearts,” remarks Hannah Lillethun, program director of PX3. “This year’s honorees embody how photography can capture reality while also igniting introspection. From adaptive athletes transforming sports to intimate delvings into fragility and time, these projects remind us of the strength of visual storytelling.”
Whether recognizing excellence in book photography or celebrating artistic portraiture, the photo contest successfully showcases some of the finest emerging and established photographic talents. In doing so, it offers them a platform and exposure through its annual winners exhibition in Paris and the PX3 Annual Book.

– “Jurassic Park” by Alessandro Marena. Non-Professional Nature Photographer of the Year
– “The Independence Movement: Layered Gazes” by Hakbong Kwon. Professional Fine Art Photographer of the Year
– “The Amboseli Wildlife” by Paolo Ameli. Professional Nature Photographer of the Year
– “Weightless in the Guggenheim Museum” by Angel Sanchez. Non-Professional Sports Photographer of the Year
– “Silent steps” by Elias Ejderhamn. Professional Sports Photographer of the Year
– “THE HOUSE WITH HAIR” by Nick Green. Non-Professional Architecture Photographer of the Year
– “Faces of loss in Ukraine” by Hanna Kuzmych. Non-Professional Press Photographer of the Year
Winners were announced across 10 categories in both professional and non-professional/student divisions.
