Open Studios/Open Fields is an innovative event hosted by Pratt Fine Arts’ MFA program at Dock 72 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12–8pm. This unique gathering invites the public to engage with the vibrant world of contemporary art, offering an immersive experience that connects artistic production with the networks essential to its sustenance.

**Open Studios: A Window into Creative Process**

Open Studios provides a rare opportunity for visitors to step into the creative sanctuaries of MFA artists. Attendees can explore works in progress, engage directly with artists in their studios, and appreciate a curated pop-up exhibition within the program’s gallery spaces. This component is a celebration of the artistic journey, allowing for an intimate view of how ideas are transformed into tangible works of art.

**Open Fields: An Artist Resource Fair**

In tandem with Open Studios, Open Fields serves as a resource-rich fair where nonprofit organizations from New York City and beyond gather. The event features an impressive lineup of participating organizations, including Artadia, Center for Urban Pedagogy, Dieu Donné, Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, The Fortune Society, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, The Laundromat Project, NARS Foundation, Project for Empty Space, Recess, Residency Unlimited, Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, Silver Art Projects, Socrates Sculpture Park, and Wassaic Project.

**Logistics and Registration**

Open Studios/Open Fields is a free event open to the public, encouraging widespread participation and engagement.
