Dublin’s Exhibit Showcases 60 Masterpieces by Picasso

Few creators have influenced contemporary art as significantly as Pablo Picasso. His remarkable life and innovative creations continue to motivate countless artists and art enthusiasts. To honor his lasting influence, the National Gallery of Ireland has partnered with the Musée national Picasso-Paris to host a notable exhibition titled Picasso: From the Studio, featuring 60 works by Picasso.
This exhibition in Dublin encourages attendees to immerse themselves in Picasso’s artistic universe, examining the environments where his legendary art was conceived. It follows the artist’s varied phases, styles, and interests, illustrating the evolution of his work over five decades. From Cubist portraits to captivating sculptures, the display combines Picasso’s renowned masterpieces with seldom-seen pieces.
Attendees are welcome to explore Picasso’s intimate side through still-life paintings inspired by his environment in Avignon and the Côte d’Azur, alongside portraits of his closest companions. Notably, among these is Marie-Thérèse, the mother of his child, depicted in a gentler style compared to his sculpted works from the same era.
“Photographic and audio-visual elements will envelop visitors in his creative environments, from quaint French farmhouses to vast seaside villas,” states the National Gallery of Ireland. “Picasso existed amid his art, with his private life and creations closely linked.”
