
Results Revealed for the 12th International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards

In its twelfth edition, the International Landscape Photographer of the Year competition has once again enchanted the globe with stunning visuals that reveal the breathtaking allure of natural scenery. The 2025 awardees were chosen from more than 3,600 submissions, evaluated by a distinguished panel for their proficiency in representing the splendor of the natural realm.
The premier accolade of Landscape Photographer of the Year was presented to J. Fritz Rumpf from the United States. Rumpf’s remarkable collection, which featured abstract and visually compelling images such as “Whispers,” “Winter Meditations,” “River and Dunes,” and “Storm Over Fields,” showcased his talent for transforming landscapes into mesmerizing artistic creations.
The title of Landscape Photograph of the Year was awarded to Lukas Trixl from Austria for his singular image “The Land Before Time,” captured in New Plymouth, North Island, New Zealand. This photograph flawlessly encapsulates the peaceful and everlasting beauty of an unspoiled landscape, with every nuance carefully preserved.
The competition not only honors the champions but also recognizes other exceptional submissions, including Albert Dros’s “Porcelain Shrooms,” Dave Drost’s “White Pocket,” and Karol Nienartowicz’s poignant works like “Shiprock” and “Delta Rock.” Joyce Bealer’s photos “Fitz Roy and Cascades,” “Fairytale Sunrise,” and “Starry Night” also received accolades for their breathtaking portrayal of the natural environment.
Additionally, the event featured special distinctions such as the Lone Tree Award, claimed by Benjamin Barakat with “Queen Bottle Tree,” the Seascape Award won by Jeroen Van Nieuwenhove for “Iceberg Spiral,” the Stormy Sky Award awarded to Dennis Hualong Zhang’s “Stormy Sky,” and the Snow and Ice Award taken by Kung-Fu Li with “A Whisper of Light.”
These stunning images illustrate the infinite variety and allure of landscapes around the world, emphasizing the deep creativity inherent in landscape photography and its ability to capture the tranquil, grand, and occasionally surreal beauty of the natural world.
