Metal Detector Enthusiast Finds Couple’s Missing Engagement Ring and Refuses Compensation

While a man named Brian Harpring was scouring a beach close to Savannah, GA, with his reliable metal detector, another man approached him seeking assistance. “Big reward for you,” the stranger proposed. “Could you help me locate a ring?” The adventurer, who chronicles his journeys on a YouTube channel named Savannah Harps, accepted the task, but turned down the cash, merely wanting to make a difference.
“If you can pinpoint where you lost it, I’ll definitely find it,” stated the treasure seeker, who was curious about the ring. “Is it gold?” he queried. The ring in question was crafted from platinum and featured a diamond valued in the thousands. Despite its worth, Harpring emphasized, “I don’t accept money by the way, so don’t even think about offering me cash.”
Utilizing an XP Deus metal detector and following the directions from the man and his fiancée, the detectorist discovered the ring in mere seconds. “That’s a nice stag on a ring, quite heavy too,” he remarked as he retrieved it. The couple, who had been searching Facebook Marketplace for a metal detector before encountering Harpring, could hardly believe their good fortune.
