BINI Is the Initial Filipino Group to Take the Stage at Coachella

Coachella 2026 has been filled with numerous unforgettable moments, featuring historic firsts where women of color took center stage. Colombian artist Karol G made history as the first Latina to headline the festival, captivating the Main Stage on Sunday night. Just days prior, girl group BINI achieved the milestone of being the first Filipino act to perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, paving the way for Pinoy Pop.

BINI delivered a 10-song set in the Mojave Tent, a venue commonly reserved for emerging talent in the music scene. Their performance showcased the live premieres of the tracks “Blush” and “Bikini,” alongside the fan-favorite “Salamin, Salamin,” and an extended rendition of the hit “Pantropiko.” The eight-member ensemble honored their heritage by stepping onto the stage adorned in golden outfits and salakots, traditional conical hats from the Philippines, before transitioning into matching bright teal ensembles.

“[Coachella], you made us blu-u-u-u-ush with your EYYYYYnergy!!” the group shared on Instagram. “We’re incredibly honored to represent the PH at #Coachella! To everyone who watched, danced, and sang with us… 2, 3… maraming salamat sa inyong lahat! (Thank you all very much).”

This performance was highly anticipated by U.S.-based followers of the group, who arrived at the venue bearing Philippine flags and their most stylish Filipino-inspired outfits to celebrate both the band and the Pinoy diaspora. Fans commemorated the event by renting a billboard on the I-10, the highway leading to Indio, California (where Coachella is held), to promote the show.

You can view some highlights from BINI’s inaugural Coachella performance below. To catch their Weekend 2 set, tune into the Mojave Tent channel on Friday, April 17 at 4:15 p.m. PDT on YouTube. To keep up with the band, follow BINI on Instagram.
