LA Louver to Transition from Gallery Space to Private Model

LA Louver, the oldest existing gallery in Los Angeles, announced it will close its Venice location this fall to focus on private art dealing and consulting. The gallery intends to donate its extensive archive and library to the Huntington Library. Founded in 1975, LA Louver has prominently featured Southern California and international artists over its 50-year history. The gallery plans to shift operations to a warehouse in West Adams for private viewings and special projects. This transition follows the closure of several other LA galleries, reflecting changes in the art market landscape.
