Jon Bon Jovi Restarts Touring After Healing from Vocal Cord Surgery
Singer Jon Bon Jovi is among the most recognizable icons in rock music. While continuously cherished by generations of fans, the 63-year-old had to step back from performing in 2022 for vocal cord surgery. However, now the New Jersey rocker feels better than ever, having undergone what he describes as “a facelift for the vocal cords,” and he’s prepared to reconnect with the thrill of live music.
Bon Jovi recently revealed the upcoming Forever Tour, scheduled for 2026. The tour includes nine dates at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, along with performances in Edinburgh, Dublin, and two nights at Wembley Stadium in London. Originally intended to have just seven dates, the overwhelming response from fans led to nearly double that number.
“There is so much joy in this announcement—joy that we can experience these nights together with our incredible fans and joy that the band can unite,” Bon Jovi stated on Instagram. “I am fortunate enough to be able to shine a light out to the audience each night and bask in their reflection for a magnificent shared experience—I get to stand in the WE of our concerts.”
The tour will showcase the band’s newest album, Forever (Legendary Edition), released on October 24. The tracks are alternative versions of Forever, which was initially launched in 2024, featuring vocals from friends of the band, including Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams, Avril Lavigne, Jelly Roll, and Lainey Wilson.
“I was performing well enough in the studio for the recording,” Bon Jovi notes, “but the vocal challenges and demands of touring were still beyond my reach. Lacking the ability to tour or promote an album we were all immensely proud of, I decided to enlist some friends to assist me in my time of need.”
With over forty years of touring experience, the rocker has never taken the passion of fans and the excitement of live music for granted. “I’ve expressed my gratitude many times, but I will reiterate, I’m profoundly thankful that the fans and the camaraderie of this band have been patient and given me the time to get healthy and prepare for touring,” he states. “I’m ready and thrilled!”
