Ryanair Chief Executive Accused by Eatery Employees for “Additional Legroom” and “Premier Booth Arrangements”

The Irish always find an opportunity for a touch of light-hearted mischief. When Michael O’Leary, the CEO of budget airline Ryanair, made a visit to Luvida Restaurant in Navan, the team decided to play a little prank by adding a few “extras” to his bill.
Ryanair has become well-known for piling on additional fees alongside its low base rates for items ranging from baggage charges to seat selection. Thus, it’s no wonder that the Luvida staff, probably well-acquainted with the situation, couldn’t help but add some humorous “extras” to O’Leary’s bill. After his meal, the CEO received a check that included charges for “extra leg room,” “priority booth seating,” and “quiet area reservation.” The receipt was even whimsically marked as “Terminal 1.”
It remains uncertain if O’Leary was actually charged for the added items, but fortunately, he took the jest with a smile. The restaurant shared a picture of him beaming next to a staff member who was likely the brain behind the playful idea. The caption read, “Thank you to Michael O’Leary for choosing to dine with us tonight! It was a delight to host you. We hope you don’t mind us adding a few additional charges for extra leg room, priority booth seating, and quiet area reservation.”
