“Ethereal Illumination Merges Landscape Art and Sculpture to Foster a Tranquil Ambiance”

Artists David J Rodriguez and Lyora Pissarro have unveiled a groundbreaking creation dubbed “Unfolding Radiance,” merging painting and sculpture via illumination. This 36-inch circular artwork fuses Pissarro’s oil painting methods with Rodriguez’s relief sculptures. The organic forms within the piece reflect layered natural elements, allowing LED lights to penetrate and encircle each silhouette. At its center lies a sphere representing both the sun and the moon, symbolizing a palpable and ethereal presence.

The artwork showcases seven distinct lighting modes, crafted to evoke sensations of presence, tranquility, and expansion. These modes can be experienced sequentially over a span of 40 minutes or individually, enabling viewers to connect personally with the piece. “Unfolding Radiance” serves as a calm visual sanctuary, promoting reflection and a deceleration of time, reminiscent of the peaceful moments during sunrise or sunset.

Displayed at Design Miami as a part of Tuleste Factory’s “Keep it Curious,” this partnership invites observers to delve into changing perceptions through light, offering a meditative experience where the art transforms with each viewing.
