Cristina Iglesias’s individual retrospective named “Pasajes” at La Pedrera in Barcelona highlights her distinctive artistic perspective and her link to Antoni Gaudí’s architectural craftsmanship. Curated by James Lingwood, the exhibit features 40 pieces of art over 24 years, encompassing Iglesias’s large-scale installations and smaller creations that express her vision of nature. The retrospective creates a creative conversation with Gaudí, reflecting his intrigue with organic and geological shapes. Iglesias’s art, frequently incorporating water and aluminum, underscores the flow of time and the growth inherent in nature. This exhibition will be available until January 25, 2026, inviting guests to delve into the relationship between sculpture and architecture within one of Gaudí’s most celebrated structures.
