Enhance Your Artistic Skills and Philosophy at New York Studio School

**Join the New York Studio School Community for a Transformative Art Education Experience**
The New York Studio School (NYSS), founded in 1964, offers an immersive educational experience for artists dedicated to drawing, painting, and sculpture. Emphasizing learning from fellow artists and the power of perceptual work, NYSS is renowned for its lifelong impact on students’ studio practices.
**MFA Program**
The 60-credit, two-year Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program at NYSS transforms aspiring artists by awakening their imagination and technical skills. Commencing with a two-week intensive “Marathon,” the curriculum includes studio classes, personal vision development, critical studies, workshops, lectures, and more. Students engage in one-on-one faculty guidance and conclude their journey with a written thesis and a Thesis Exhibition. The program is lead by distinguished artists committed to nurturing ethical art practices.
**Certificate Program**
NYSS also offers a robust three-year Certificate Program, available both in-person and virtually. Each semester begins with the Marathon, progressing to concentrated studio work and coursework. It equips artists with crucial skills through a combination of faculty guidance, seminars, and exhibition opportunities. The virtual option allows artists worldwide to benefit from NYSS’s studio-centric approach and culminates in a Certificate Completion Exhibition.
**Financial Aid**
Generous scholarships are available to ensure all students in need receive financial support. The priority application deadline for financial aid is February 15, 2026.
