AI-Optimized Humanoid Robot Created to Carry Out Everyday Household Tasks Effectively

Throughout the past few decades, technology has advanced and provided solutions to numerous problems; nevertheless, there remains a domain where many individuals could use a bit more assistance: household tasks. Presenting a potential answer, SwitchBot has launched onero H1. This humanoid robot—evoking memories of Rosey the robot maid from The Jetsons—has been crafted to manage chores that, even today, have proven challenging to automate.
Revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, onero H1 has been characterized as an approachable household robot. While it can fold laundry, load dishwashers, and brew a cup of tea, its capabilities extend far beyond those basic functions. “Instead of being limited by any single role, it marks a transition towards robotics that can adjust to various domestic situations,” states the company.
From a technical perspective, onero H1 is equipped with core embodied-AI functionalities, 22 degrees of freedom (df), and an on-device OmniSense VLA model. Together, these features empower the robot to perform contact-based tasks by utilizing visual perception, depth recognition, and tactile feedback. This allows it to identify and comprehend an object’s location, form, and reaction, enabling it to execute actions like grasping, pushing, opening, and organizing in different areas of the home. As part of SwitchBot’s Smart Home 2.0 lineup, it is designed to operate alongside task-specific robots, such as vacuums and air purifiers.
SwitchBot also unveiled additional AI-driven products, including: the Lock Vision Series, the first deadbolt smart lock globally to incorporate 3D structured-light facial recognition, even if the individual is wearing a hat, glasses, or makeup; AI MindClip, an 18-gram portable voice-based AI assistant capable of capturing meetings and discussions in 100 languages and generating summaries; and OBBOTO, a desk globe light that showcases time, weather, and interactive pixel art while offering ambiance settings for sleep, focus, or relaxation.
Recognizing the growing interest in humanoid robots that assist with daily household tasks, LG Electronics introduced their own model. LG CLOiD, an AI-driven home robot capable of executing various domestic duties and patrolling your residence. Equipped with multiple sensors and cameras, it can also be linked with LG’s app-controlled ThinQ appliances to provide real-time recommendations and solutions.
For those interested in welcoming onero H1 into their homes, be sure to follow SwitchBot on Instagram and check SwitchBot’s website for updates on when the pre-order phase will commence.
