CONDUCTOR: New York’s Inaugural Art Fair Dedicated to the Global Majority

This spring, from April 30 to May 3, 2026, Powerhouse Arts will host the inaugural edition of CONDUCTOR: Art Fair of the Global Majority in Brooklyn, showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of contemporary art from around the world. The event will bring together 27 galleries and 17 special projects spotlighting artists from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, and Indigenous Nations. Visitors will explore painting, sculpture, installation, and interdisciplinary practices from galleries like GalerĂa Extra, Bockley Gallery, and Brihatta Art Foundation. Curated by Adriana Farietta and Eric Shiner, the fair celebrates cultural exchange and representation. The Special Projects section will feature large-scale installations delving into global histories and identities, while a Conversation Series offers dialogues on contemporary art’s global role. Hosted at Powerhouse Arts’ Grand Hall and Loft, the fair promises to engage collectors, curators, artists, and art enthusiasts with the next generation of global contemporary art.
