2026 MFA Thesis Exhibitions at NYU Steinhardt

NYU Steinhardt’s Department of Art and Art Professions, in collaboration with 80WSE Gallery, is pleased to announce the 2026 MFA Thesis Exhibitions. These exhibitions will showcase the creative expression and intensive research of second-year MFA candidates. Set in New York’s historic Greenwich Village, the event will feature two parts: “Hoodwinked” and “Eggshells.”

**MFA Thesis Part I: Hoodwinked**
– **Opening Reception:** Wednesday, April 1, 6–8 pm (ET)
– **Exhibition Duration:** April 1–18
– **Participating Artists:** Nicholas Koby, Richard Medina, Roselynn Sadaghiani, Mario Saponaro, Brooke Schneider

**MFA Thesis Part II: Eggshells**
– **Opening Reception:** Wednesday, May 6, 6–8 pm (ET)
– **Exhibition Duration:** May 6–23
– **Participating Artists:** Ariel Barish, Christopher Chan, Mélanie Dumas, Roxie de Là, Fan Qi

These exhibitions reflect the diverse and interdisciplinary nature of the MFA program, fostering collaboration among emerging artists, established faculty, and visiting professionals. Hosted at the 80WSE Gallery (80 Washington Square East), part of NYU’s Department of Art and Art Professions, this event promises to engage audiences with contemporary and historical works. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12 to 6 pm (ET).
