2026 San Francisco Art Fair to Commemorate and Recognize AAPI Artists: A Conversation
**The San Francisco Art Fair: A Tribute to Local and Global Artistic Narratives**
Beginning April 16, a multitude will assemble with vistas of the San Francisco Bay, not solely for the scenery, but for the 2026 San Francisco Art Fair (SFAF), produced by Art Market Productions. Now in its 14th edition, the fair creates links between the Bay Area’s lively atmosphere and creators from around the world. Director Kelly Freeman highlights its fusion of local, national, and international viewpoints, deeply embedded in San Francisco’s artistic fabric.
This year’s emphasis is on Asian and Pacific Islander innovation, mirroring the city’s population. Features include the Chinese Culture Center’s Design Store and Jon Cuyson’s collection, showcasing insights into the 2026 Venice Biennale. SFAF takes pride in involving the community, nurturing relationships, and uplifting a varied array of voices.
Attendees will navigate over 88 international galleries and discover distinct displays such as Cambodian artist Anida Yoeu Ali’s garment exhibit, promoting understanding of Islamic culture, alongside Trulee Hall’s kinetic sculpture, “Cloud Goddess,” which merges mythology and technology.
Freeman articulates the fair’s evolution since 2011, observing the rising global focus on San Francisco’s arts landscape. SFAF remains committed to highlighting marginalized voices and encouraging collaboration. With this edition, it provides an essential conversation, rooted in community and reflective of both local and global stories.
In addition to exposure to innovative art, Freeman aspires for visitors to depart with enduring connections and inquisitiveness, resulting in a vibrant cultural encounter. The SFAF’s continuous goal is to enhance the art community, leaving attendees inspired and engaged with new viewpoints and relationships.
