**A Celebration of Art Publishing: LA Art Book Fair Returns to Pasadena**
Connect with 250 international artists, publishers, and booksellers and celebrate the art publishing community at ArtCenter South Campus in Pasadena, California.
Initiated in 2013, Printed Matter’s [LA Art Book Fair](https://bit.ly/4tEiqrW?ref=hyperallergic.com) (LAABF) is a celebration and international gathering for artists’ book publishers to distribute their work, connect with broad audiences, and nurture new and longstanding relationships. Platforming established publishers alongside emerging artists, collectives, and organizations, LAABF returns to ArtCenter South Campus in Pasadena from May 7 to 10 with a commitment to its educational possibilities.
This year’s edition welcomes 250 exhibitors alongside longstanding programs such as a series of talks and panels in The Classroom, music and performances on The Stage, and a group of special, publication-focused presentations called Project Spaces. This year’s Project Spaces include experimental installations and expanded artists’ book presentations by Archivos Desviados, Bread & Puppet Press, Chicano in Print, Getty, Marta, Ooga Booga + Emily’s Sassy Lime, Three Star Books, and Werkplaats Typografie. Workshops organized by Riso Studio Arts and the recently initiated exhibition The Reading Room round out this year’s programmatic offerings.
An Opening Night celebration taking place on Thursday, May 7, from 6–9pm, organized in collaboration with Orange Radio & Homebody, will include live music performances by sonrisita and Mia Carucci. The first 500 guests will receive a limited edition ticket by LA-based artist Amia Yokoyama. Opening Night tickets grant access to the fair through the weekend. A new collaborative artist edition by Deanna Templeton and Ed Templeton will also be launched at the fair and available beginning Opening Night.
