Javier Arcenillas from Spain claimed fourth place with “Tunisia,” a tranquil scene captured during a train ride from Carthage, depicting the peacefulness of a woman resting while traveling.
Finally, Beamie Young’s “Bringing Home the Birds” earned fifth place, taking us to Cuba, where two boys transport handmade cages filled with songbirds, representing a colonial custom that persists in contemporary Cuban life.
