**Nathan Farb (1941–2026)**
A renowned photographer and educator, Nathan Farb captured iconic images from the Summer of Love in Manhattan to the Siberian landscapes, as well as portraits of figures like Diane Arbus and Senator Robert F. Kennedy. He taught at Rutgers University and the New School, freelanced for publications like *Life*, and authored several photography books. Farb passed away on March 26 at his home in Jay, New York.
**William “Billy The Brush” Mumford (1948–2026)**
Known as a prolific art forger and artist, Billy The Brush Mumford was recognized for selling more than 1,000 copies of master works for around $8 million. After serving a prison sentence, he opened a gallery showcasing his work, continuing to sell his art widely.
**Justin “El Toro” Nagtalon (1983–2026)**
A pioneer sticker artist from Philadelphia, Nagtalon created a cartoon buffalo character prominent in the city’s streets. As an art director, he designed over 350 campaigns for major clients like Netflix, Hulu, and Warner Brothers.
**Christine Ruiz-Picasso (1928–2026)**
As the daughter-in-law of Pablo Picasso, Christine Ruiz-Picasso was instrumental in founding the Museo Picasso Málaga in Spain, fulfilling one of the artist’s dreams. She also organized important Picasso exhibitions at the Episcopal Palace.
**Hassen Soufy (1937–2026)**
The final living member of L’École de Tunis, a post-WWII Tunisian painting movement, Soufy gained recognition for his exhibitions in Tunisia and France, earning international accolades for his work.
**Marian Van Landingham (1937–2026)**
A community leader and artist, Van Landingham founded the Torpedo Factory Art Center in 1974, which became home to the largest number of working artist studios in the U.S. She was also known for her enamel artworks created from fused glass.
**Thomas Zipp (1966–2026)**
An interdisciplinary German artist and former punk musician, Zipp’s work explored science, religion, and pharmaceuticals through uncanny, satirical installations. He exhibited at prestigious venues, including the Venice Biennale and MoMA PS1.
